He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Simonson and Muriel Simonson (Davis); his wife Cleo Jean Seifert; his brothers, Donny Simonson (LaRue), Gilbert Simonson (Donna) and Bob Simonson (Shirley); and his brother-in-law Marvin Rieck.
He is survived by: his sons, Jay (Tricia) of Sanborn and Jim (Mary) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Macy Simonson Rogotzke (Andy), Spencer Simonson (Ryleigh), Chase Simonson and Haley Simonson (Nathan); his great grandchild Wyatt Rogotzke; his sister Mary Rieck Johnson (Hillard); and his sister-in-law Connie Anderson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
