He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Kotzer and Mary Kotzer (Roske). He is survived by: his wife Susan E. Braegelmann; his children, Jim (Shannon Paggen) and Tammy Mruz (Brian); his grandchildren, Alexis, Anna, Hailey and Rylie; and his siblings, John (Linda) and Susie Hill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
