He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignatuis Petermeier and Caroline Petermeier (Uhlenkamp); and his siblings, Tony (Ella Petermeier), Al (Evie Petermeier), Evelyn (Henry Jansen), Florentine (Leonard Schmeising) and Erma (Elmer Kettler).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Klaphake; his children, Linda John (Donald) of Sauk Centre, MN, Gary Petermeier of Maple Grove, MN, Lisa Poepping (Dale) of Sauk Centre, MN and Greg Petermeier (Pam) of Sauk Centre, MN; and his brother Roman Petermeier (Tillie) of Sauk Centre, MN. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to CentraCare Hospice and can be given to the family.
