He was predeceased by: his father Herman Tschida; his mother-in-law MaryAnn McDonald; and his brothers-in-law, Roy Stoermann and Tim McDonald. He is survived by: his mother Florence Tschida (Heinen); his wife Susan Tschida of Bernard's Catholic Church; his children, Joe Tschida (Stacy), Kenny Tschida, Linda Tschida and Kimberly Tschida (L. T. Thompson); his grandchildren, Katlynn, Elexa, Brandon, Zach, Derrick, Gabby, Courtney and Brooke; his great grandchild Elena; and his siblings, Eugene Tschida, Shirley Stoermann, Wayne Tschida (JoAnn), Kevin Tschida (Sue), Dwight Tschida (Nancy), Mark Tschida (Connie) and Janell Tschida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
