It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mathew Woida (Sauk Centre, Minnesota), who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Mathew shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Mathew farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Martha; and his siblings, Gertrude Slavik Stanton, Lawrence Woida and Urban Woida.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene Woida (Amy) of Sauk Centre, Gerald Woida (Julie) of Sauk Centre, Sharon Haakinson (Les) of Sauk Centre and Joe Woida (Diana Busch) of Sauk Centre. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Saint Paul's Catholic Church (304 Sinclair Lewis Ave, Sauk Centre, MN 56378).
