She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Smith; her parents, LeRoy and Monica; her former husband Melvin Mathies; her son Matthew Mathies; and her brothers, Greg and Joseph Eichinger.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Krueger (Ron) of Sauk Rapids and Margaret Kotula (Tom) of Sauk Rapids; her daughter-in-law Peggy Mathies of Watkins; her grandsons, Nathaniel Uphus and Benjamin Kotula; her siblings, Mark Eichinger, Rita Stai, Doug Eichinger and Mary Mathies (Vernon); and her sister-in-law Mary Eichinger. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel (85 Main St N, Kimball, MN 55353). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to the Good Shepherd Foundation.
