He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Savig and Margaret Savig (Molacek); his siblings, Dan, Peggy, Charlie, Jeff and Mary; his parents-in-law, Dean Seehusen and Lois Seehusen; and his brothers-in-law, Mike "Zeke" Zupfer, Guy Olson and Stephen.

He is survived by: his wife Kari; his son Derrik Savig (Nikki); his siblings, Dave Savig (Wanda), Chris Savig and Matt Savig (Michelle); his in-laws, Lori Malvin (Shawn), Shari Olson, Patti Cluka (John) and Kelli Fedderly (Mark); and his pet Izzy. He is also survived by many nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.
