He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Gunderson and Lotte Gunderson; and his sister Jeanne. He is survived by: his wife LaVonne Gunderson; and his stepchildren, Kriss Boatman (Patty) and Sonja Anderson (Isaac). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be distributed by the family to the Detroit Lakes Food Bank.
