He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Burkard and Jean Burkard; and his brother Dr. Daniel Burkard. He is survived by: his children, Ashley Sullivan (Kevin), Leah McGrath (Greg) of San Francisco, CA, Andrew Burkard and Alyssa Burkard; his sister Lisa Hartwig; and his close friend Thomas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the American Legion Post 643 (12375 Princeton Ave, Savage, MN 55378).
