He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Butzer and Rachel Butzer (Westphal); his wife Norita; and his siblings, Betty Blatt, Jim Butzer, Sally Sampson and Gary Butzer.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Butzer (Lisa), Gail Hearing (Andy) and Wayne Butzer; his grandchildren, Samuel Rosenwinkel (Carly), Kyra Rosenwinkel (Michael Roffers), Alex Martinez (Luis), Emily Hearing and Darius Meyers; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Lucy, Jada and Ezra.
