He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Tootie" Downs; his sons, Brian Downs (Anntonett) and Curt Downs (Carrie); and his grandchildren, Mackenzie Downs (Parker Uphoff), Jackson Downs (Breighann), Amanda Flicek (Taylor) and Eric Downs (Riley Flynn). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (833 Marschall Rd, Shakopee, MN 55379). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 6:15 PM at the same location.
