With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Rutt of Shakopee, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Rutt and Mary Rutt (Velishek); his grandson Ryan Rutt; and his siblings, Estellene Bastyr, Francis, Eddie, Kenneth Rutt, Delores Bultman, Lou Ellen Gustafson, Beverly Rutt and Donna Ginter.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley E. Keough; his children, John Rutt (Cathy) of Belle Plaine, Steve Rutt (Tracy Kadrlik) of Le Center, Michele Medina (John) of New Prague, Bill Rutt (Sue) of Montgomery, Laurie Grimm (Rich) of Shakopee, Joe Rutt (Jenny) of Le Center, Susie Steele (Donovan) of Winthrop, Frank Rutt (Stacy) of North Mankato, Catherine Goettl (Andy) of Le Center and Jimmy Rutt (Betsy) of Belle Plaine; and his sisters, Mary Lou Chadderdon of Iowa and Kathryn "Jeannie" McGowen (Henry) of Scottsdale, AZ.. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
