He is survived by: his children, Patty Proshek (Scott) and Mark Theis (Dawn); his son-in-law Mark Ness; his grandchildren, Robert Svobodny (Sarah), Alix Svobodny (Joe), Jenna Ness, Dani Johnson, Vannessa Gunnell (Ethan), Tanner Theis and Skyler Theis; his great grandchildren, Truman and Desmond Gunnell; his brother Richard Theis; and his sisters-in-law, Carol and Kathie Theis. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated. Memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
