With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Roger Sames (Shakopee, Minnesota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Sames and Verna Sames; his parents-in-law, Claude and Evelyn Kalkes; his brothers, Ron Sames and Randy Sames; and his brothers-in-law, Claude Jr. "Bud" Kalkes and Doug Kalkes.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Jamie Sames, Riley (Ella), Brady and Jody Barney (Alan); his grandson Alex (Amanda); his children, Lillian, Isabelle and Kory Sames (Amber); his grandchildren, Jadayn, Kody and Logan; his son Joe Sames (Jen); his grandchildren, Sammy and Joey; his nephew Charlie Sames (Virginia); his siblings, Rick Sames (Carol), Steve Sames (Kate), Sue Peters (Kevin) and Sue Sames (late Randy); and his in-laws, Joyce Kalkes (late Bud), Lisa Kalkes (late Doug), Ken Kalkes (Elaine), Carolyn Wisniewski (Eugene) and Jean Lusignan.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Shakopee VFW Post 4046 (1201 3rd Ave E, Shakopee, MN 55379).
