Ivan Wayne Adkins Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ivan Wayne Adkins of Sherburn, Minnesota, who passed away on April 15, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Adkins and Mattie Adkins (Nielsen); his siblings, Vernon Adkins (Wanda), Dorothy Work (Irvin) and Helen Janzen (Hank); his nephews, Jim Janzen, Craig Brodin and Terry Neuenschwander; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Lovell, Ivan Dorschner and Donald Neuenschwander.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Adkins; his children, Douglas Adkins (Robin) of Springdale, AR, Daniel Adkins (Sandi) of Jackson, Jay Adkins (Victoria) of Hartley, IA and Jill Tepfer (Tim) of Spirit Lake, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jeremy Adkins, Gabe Adkins, Katie Hein, Brandy Peterson, Chris Roberts, Madlyn Shade, Caitlyn Cleberg, Sierra Adkins, Derek Melheim, Kaitlyn Beinke and Jordyn Tepfer; and his sister Marie Lovell. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
