He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold LaRue and Olivia LaRue (Eunice Pond); and his sister Gail Smith. He is survived by : his former life partner Diane Davis; his son Tyrell Richard LaRue (Loralee Varady) of Whiteville, NC; his partner Terry Larson of Fargo, ND; his son Timothy LaRue of Moorhead, MN; his siblings, Laurie Hanson (Marlin) of Shevlin, MN, Dale LaRue (Janet) of Bagley, MN, Janie Cuny (Allen) of Buffalo Gap, SD and Jack LaRue of Solway, MN; his brother-in-law Russell Smith of Fargo, ND; his adoptive daughter Ellen Bratcher of Utica, KY; his close friend Barb Hample; and also, Kim, Chris and Mike. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers memorial preferred to the DTOM Veterans Ranch south of Bagley, MN.
