He was predeceased by: his wife Glennyce; his son Darwin; his siblings-in-law, Clifton Toenges and Colleen Politz; his parents, Leo and Mildred; and his siblings, Leona Anderson (Chuck), Luella Johnson (Floyd), Beverly, Duane "Bud" Cox (Janice), Marvin Cox (Laurabell), Melvin Cox (Marilyn), Marlene Strampe (Bob) and Keith Cox.
He is survived by: his daughters, Darlette Luke (Dan) and Danielle Steffen (Patrick); his grandchildren, Christina Gerlach (Steve), Donovan Steffen and Zachary Steffen (Emily Pogue); his great grandchildren, Carson and Cole Gerlach; and his close friend Jennifer Benson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Shoreview Chapel (515 Hwy 96 W, Shoreview, MN 55126). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at the Roselawn Cemetery (803 Larpenteur Ave W, Roseville, MN 55113).
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donors choice.
