She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Plessel and Marie Plessel (Schmidt); her husband Dwight Westermann; and her brothers, Roger Plessel and Larry Plessel (Gloria).
She is survived by: her children, Damian Westermann (Julie), Dawn Westermann and Deanne Silvera (Mark); her grandchildren, Nate Westermann, Nicole Ehlenbach (Adam), Natalie Silvera, Nicolas Westermann (Madelyn) and Henry Silvera; her great grandchild Gideon Ehlenbach; and her siblings-in-law, Doris Plessel, Karen Andrus (Robert) and Keith Westermann. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the Swanson Funeral Chapel (665 3rd Ave SW, Pine City, MN 55063). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (555 8th St SW, Pine City, MN 55063).
