She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Stearns; her parents, Helen Klein and Stephen Klein; her brother Robert Klein; and her siblings-in-law, Jim Scharf and Susan Klein.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bill Klein (Karen), Tom Klein (Marge), Richard Klein and Marcy Scharf; her children, Suzy Pfluger (KC) and Jeff Stearns (Stef); and her grandchildren, Ava, Sophie, Luke Pfluger, Kaitlynn Carpenter (Mason) and Jesse Berres. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Dorothy's name to the American Cancer Society or, the History Theater.
