He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred; and his sister Helen Mae. He is survived by: his daughter Alexa Umbreit (Mark); his granddaughters, Jen Patterson and Laura Umbreit; his great grandchildren, Myles Patterson, Jade Patterson and Sophie Tirati; and his siblings, James Eckart, Rodney Eckart (Kathryn) and Elaine Edinger. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
