With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eunice Elizabeth Sortland (Shoreview, Minnesota), born in Zahl, North Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Allan Sortland; her siblings, Rev. Joseph Nystuen and Beverly Carlsen; her siblings-in-law, Rev. Erling Carlsen, Rev. Delmar Gusdal, Rev. Edward Nyhus, Rev. Howard Sortland, Ivar Anderson, Lonnie Webb, Mary Lou Sortland, Lynda Sortland, Marolyn Halverson and Evelyn Halverson; her niece Kathleen "Kay" Halverson; and her nephew Stephen Carlsen.
She is survived by: her children, Paul (Carolyn Anderson), John, Mary (Rod Moberg) and David (Marie Sortland); her sisters, Winifred Nyhus, Miriam Gusdal and Grace Watkins (Dennis); her siblings-in-law, Nancy Nystuen, Omar Nelson, William Halverson and Eunice Anderson; her grandchildren, Joseph (Kelsey), Martha, Nicholas (Michael Kohlfeld), Benjamin, Katrina, Natasha, Brandon, Brian (Megan), Britta (Eric Ryan), Ana (Jack Dean) and Eric (Maddy Elizondo); and her great grandchildren, Linnea, Olin, Haylee, Wyatt and Sven.
