He was predeceased by: his former wife Phyllis (Loftus); his brother Thomas; his grandson Owen Loftus; and his parents, Joel Olson and Alta Olson.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Virginia Boisen (Deedee); his children, Jill Laughlin (Alan), David Olson (Kay), Tammy Taylor (Tina Marie), Tom Loftus (Jackie Painter) and Daniel Loftus (Susan); and his grandchildren, Drew, Zachary Laughlin, Ryan Zurek, Lyndsay, Chris Long, Ryan Soderquist and Nicole Neal.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Mueller Memorial (4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM at the Mueller Memorial-Lake (4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110).
