She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harold Tietge and Cozy Tietge (Miller); her husband Francis O'Neil (Gene); her children, Mike (Susanne), Steve (Christine), Dave (Betty) and Sara Fish (Rich); her grandchildren, Rebecca, Katherine, Madeline, Nick, Megan and Sandy; and her siblings, Mike, Dennis Tietge and Cheryl Riley.
In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations be made in Sandy's name to Our Lady of Peace Hospice, the American Cancer Society, or The Mayo Clinic.
