He is survived by: his wife Marjorie McKay; his children, Gail Smith (Bruce) and Forrest Johnson (Jane Foster); his son-in-law Keith Mickelson; his grandchildren, Andrea Flippin (Max), Melissa Smith, Sara Lassila (Aaron), Brian "Bud" Mickelson (Ali), Brent Mickelson (Laurissa) and Dylan Johnson (Janelle); and his brother Thomas Johnson. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to Sychar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay.
