She was predeceased by: her husband Peter; and her brothers, Melvin and Sonny. She is survived by: her son Rob Melnotte (KarLa); her grandsons, Trent (Jordynne) and Caleb (Heidi); her great grandchildren, Davis and Levi; and her sisters, Alice and June.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Palisade Baptist Church (5486 MN-61, Silver Bay, MN 55614). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery (3228 Co Hwy 4, Silver Bay, MN 55614). After Peter’s death, Prue stayed on as a volunteer until Covid shut the doors to volunteers in 2020.
