He is survived by: his children, Nora Candela, Dorie Huettl (Ken), Gary Haas (Linda), Sonja Haas (Jaja) and Debra Iglesias; his grandchildren, Mark Huffman (Helen), Christina Pineault (Nathan), Heather Candela, Santana Igelsias, Rachel Haas, Joe Haas, Xavier Drew and Nadia Drew; his great grandchildren, Jaclyn Candela, Noah Pineault (Natalie), Caleb Pineault and Luke Pineault; and his great great grandchild Wanda Pineault.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the River Park Chapel. A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be designated to the Minnesota Veterans Home (https://mn.gov) in Silver Bay, MN to the recreation fund for the residents.
