He was predeceased by: his parents, William Halbur and Mary Testroet Halbur; his daughters, Gail Demmer and Debra Vierhuf; his grandson Seth Kellen; and his siblings, Esther Krause, Joan Diedrich, Dolores Ella, Paul and Marvin Halbur.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Halbur of Slayton, MN; his children, Cheryl Kellen (Mike) of Parkers Prairie, MN, Douglas Halbur (Becky) of Hadley, MN and Gregg Halbur (Denise) of Slayton, MN; his sons-in-law, Ricky Demmer of Ellendale, MN and Richard "Butch" Vierhuf of White, SD; his grandchildren, Amy Ostrander (Caleb), Lisa Demmer (Kevin Krejci), Scott Demmer (Katie), Joseph Kellen, Paul Kellen, Melissa Kreun (Ross), Michelle Little (Brooks), Bradley Halbur, Christopher Halbur (Brookelynn), Daniel Halbur and Jonathon Halbur; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Ethan, Liam, Khyson, Karson, Maddyn, Peyton, Jayde, Jaxton, Brinley and Haddie; his stepgrandchildren, Kyle Kreun (Chelsie) and Wendy Kooiker (Aaron); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ayden, Landon Vaeda and Emberly; and his brothers, Ralph Halbur (Geraldine) of Pipestone, MN and Donald Halbur (Kathy) of Hutchinson, MN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
