He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendelin Helget and Veronica "Fronie" Helget (Fischer); his brother Wallace Helget (Ethel); and his brother-in-law Ronald Sellner. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Helget; his children, Dean (Karen), Greg (Jill), Dorine (Rick), Galen and Danny (Carolyn); and his sister Phyllis Sellner. He is also survived by brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic School, both in Sleepy Eye.
