She is survived by : her children, Brady Mertz (Dorothy Oeltljenbruns) of New Ulm and Heidi Hatlestad (Craig) of Winsted; her grandsons, Bryce Hatlestad, Riley Hatlestad, Owen Mertz and Ryker Oeltljenbruns; and her siblings, Renee Buegler of Hanska, Cindy Walden (Greg) of New Ulm, Terri Krueger (Scott) of New Ulm, Julie Olson (Brent) of New Ulm, John Schneider of New Ulm, Paul Schneider (Barb) of Lakeville, Dan Schneider (Lisa) of New Ulm, Don (Sharon Klaviter), Gary (Mary Mertz) and Bob (Linda Mertz).

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home North Chapel (218 N Broadway St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A rosary was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (605 N State St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
