It is with sadness that the passing of Monica A. Warwick of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota is shared. Monica, born on April 14, 1941, passed away on September 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Marti and Gertrude Marti (Hauser); her siblings, Frank and Diane; her former husband Frederick Mathiowetz; her husband Norman Warwick; her siblings-in-law, Karen Marti, Marlene Marti, Matt Jenniges, Dennis Deopere and John Hemmeter; and her extended family, Linda Cunningham and Paul Lindow.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Breiholz, Jeffrey Mathiowetz, Timothy Mathiowetz, Carrie Mueller (Vincent), Kevin Mathiowetz (Liz), Jonathan Mathiowetz, Ann Warwick, Gwen Roiger and Daniel Warwick; her siblings, Janet Jenniges, Karen Deopere, Ronald Marti, Anita Hemmeter, Steven Marti, Paul Marti (LuAnn), Mary Haller (Mark), Robert Marti (Kay Jo), Julie Sindelir (Dick) and Beverly Kadlec (Dan); and her extended family, James Warwick (Debbie), Pamela Krienke (Alan), Michelle Stoner, Van Cunningham and Geralyn Lindow. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Sturm Funeral Home - Sleepy Eye (301 3rd Ave SW, Sleepy Eye, MN 56085). A prayer was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 4:45 PM at the same location. Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church - Sleepy Eye (636 1st Ave N, Sleepy Eye, MN 56085). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery - Sleepy Eye (602 St Marys St NE, Sleepy Eye, MN 56085).
