He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Reynolds and Bernice "Bunny" Reynolds (Hafften); his former wife Shirley Oakes; his daughter Carrie Jean Reynolds; and his sisters, Beatrice "Butch" Ahrens and Harriet Deinken.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Reynolds of South Haven, MN; his children, Lori Hornick-Lindell of Randall, MN, John Reynolds (Stacie) of Buffalo, MN and Rebecca "Becky" Reynolds (Jessie Hoffmann) of Cold Spring, MN; his grandchildren, Brittney Nielsen (Cole) of Dassel, MN, Thomas Hornick of Randall, MN, Madison Barske (Mitch) of Medina, MN, Meredith Reynolds of Buffalo, MN and Marlo Reynolds of Buffalo, MN; and his great grandchildren, Oliver, James and Walter Nielsen of Dassel, MN. He is also survived by Many other relatives and friends.

Memorials preferred to Girls Scouts Lakes and Pines, with gifts designated toward Camp Sanderson, or to the I.O.O.F. of Minnesota-Pilgrimage for Youth Fund, both organizations close to John's heart.
