He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Heaton and Marlys Heaton (Pramann); his brother Kevin Heaton; and his former wife Rita Heaton. He is survived by: his wife Victoria Heaton; his children, Jeff Heaton of Clearwater and Ali Tyznik (Shaun) of Maple Lake; his stepchildren, Alisha Koopmeiners (Robbie) of South Haven and Alex Evavold (Stephanie) of Clearwater; his grandchild Dakota Heaton; his stepgrandchildren, Sawyer, Reese Koopmeiners, Hudson, Hayden and Henley Evavold; and his sisters, Denise Schultz (Barry) of Annandale and Dawn Froelich (Jim) of Clearwater. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Love of Christ Lutheran Church (1971 Pine Cone Rd S, St Cloud, MN 56303). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Concordia Lutheran Cemetery (13455 Bluffton Rd, South Haven, MN 55382).
