It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn M. Thompson of South Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Marilyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Marilyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Marilyn leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Knoch and Mildred M. Knoch (Arnold); her husband Marvin Thompson; and her brothers, Gene Knoch and Dick Knoch.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Piper (Howard) and Mark Thompson (Roxanne); her grandchildren, Brandon, Patti, Justin and Misty; and her friend Marion Doyle. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and also many other relatives and friends.
