It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Monnens of Spicer, Minnesota, who passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence H. Monnens and Pauline Monnens (Hennen); his former wife Marion Casy; his siblings, Merle Monnens, Verdon Monnens (Jeanette), Audrey Runda and Patricia Collins (Raymond); and his stepson Michael Nickles.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Nickles (Brown); his children, Michael Monnens of St. Cloud, Joseph Monnens (Sarah) of Cumberland, WI and Sara Ryan (Jon) of Mapleton, ND; and his brother-in-law John Runda (Tricia) of Helena, MT. He is also survived by sons and their families; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Friends of San Lucas, Izaak Walton League or Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.
