Lylas will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Lylas by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Lylas is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Lylas’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Carlson and Sadie Carlson (Roslien). She is survived by: her husband Alton Boonstra; and her children, Patti Bruggeman (Doug) of St. Cloud, Connie Brown (Ted) of Sartell and Jim Boonstra (Diane) of Spicer. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home (1000 19th Ave SW, Willmar, MN 56201). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Willmar United Methodist Church.
Memorials are preferred to Safe Avenues Women's Shelter, Willmar United Methodist Church, or Crossroads United Methodist Church.
