She was predeceased by : her husband Eugene Walter; her son Brian; her parents, John Montez and Elise Montez; and her sister Janet Montez.

She is survived by : her children, Naomi Nelson (Dan), Daniel and Glenn (Nemia); her grandchildren, Michael Nelson-Ostrowski (Kelsey), Matthew Nelson (Sarah) and Giane Walter; and her great grandchildren, Obadiah Nelson-Ostrowski, Theodore Nelson-Ostrowski and Adeline Nelson-Ostrowski.
