With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Eldon Hillesland of Spring Valley, Minnesota, who passed away on August 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Dennis is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dennis' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hillesland and Joy Hillesland (Olson); his sister Norma Bilyeu; his brother-in-law Roy Bilyeu; and his sister Lola Bruns.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Elaine Hillesland; his children, Laura Phillips (Kerry Jones), Michael Thoreson (Shelly) and Ann Taylor (Philip); his grandson Andrew Merkel; and his siblings, Alice Christianson (Dave) of Clear Lake, IA, Jon and Marcia Hillesland of Leland, IA. He is also survived by Many Nieces and Nephews.
