He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Hove and Blanche Hove (Sowers); his brother Gregory; and his brother-in-law Eugene Frey (Bud). He is survived by: his wife Janet VanTries; his children, Mark (David Mathews) of Washington, DC, Douglas of Spring Valley, Laurel Hove Tausend (Troy) of New Hope and Carrie Stephens (Daniel) of Richfield; his grandchildren, Adam, Rory Hove, Tausend of New Hope, Elaine and Emmette Stephens of Richfield; and his siblings, Dennis Hove (Ann), Vaudys Hove of Hayfield and Doris Frey of Byron.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hindt Funeral Home (316 N Broadway Ave, Spring Valley, MN 55975). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
