He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Stender and Pauline Stender (Duppary); his grandson Riley Owen Moore; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Stickan and Richard Norris (Dick).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Stickan; his children, Andy Stender (Sheila) and Kathy Moore (Todd); his grandchildren, Kristen Weber (Tony), Ryan Stender, Steven Moore and Travis Moore; his siblings, Alan and Suzanne Norris; and his pet Henry. He is also survived by four great-granddaughters.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hindt Funeral Home - Spring Valley (316 N Broadway Ave, Spring Valley, MN 55975). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
