It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Rue of Springfield, Minnesota, born in Tracy, Minnesota, who passed away on May 7, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Rue and Mary Rue (Warren); his parents-in-law, Gerald and Gladys Giese; his granddaughter Presli JoAnn; and his brother Brian.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Giese; his children, Wendy Mattison (Todd), Brenda Kreinbring (Rick) and Darren Rue (Allison); his grandchild Jerilyn Bruce (Jake); his great grandchild Suraya; his grandchildren, Stephanie Finger (Preston), Morgan Mattison, Dylan Brunz, Paige Brunz (Nick), Dawson and Stella Rue; his siblings, Donald, Myron (Judy), Wayne, Steven (Paula), Gayle Erickson (Ed), Denise Beyers (Jim) and Keith (Julie); and also, Ida Pedersen and C. C. Hanson.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (805 S Birch St, Lamberton, MN 56152). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
