Edna leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Edna’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Edna will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Meinrad Portner and Emily Portner (Flor); and her husband Ralph Petersen. She is survived by: her children, Dan Petersen (Corrine), Tim Petersen (Kahla) and Mary Miller (Terry Root). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Raphael's Catholic Church (20 W Van Dusen St, Springfield, MN 56087). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery (20 W Van Dusen St, Springfield, MN 56087).
