He is survived by: his siblings, Gilbert Schmitz of Redwood Falls, MN and Angie Schnobrich of Wayzata, MN; his children, Anthony Schmitz (Lisa) of Colorado Springs, CO, Daniel Schmitz (Lena) of Roberts, WI, Peter Schmitz (Lauren) of Mayer, MN and Martha Renner (Daniel) of Springfield, MN; and his grandchildren, Amanda Schmitz, Noah, Alexa, Brianna Schmitz, Jude, Julia, Jacob, Ava, Anna, Nicholas Schmitz, Tori, Lex, Katherine, Max, William, Madonna, Regina, Xavier and Karl Renner.
