He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Denzel and Alice Denzel (Ostlund); his siblings, Danny, Randy, David Denzel and Nancy Gauthier; his grandson Gavin Ratcliff; and his stepson Hans Hupe.
He is survived by: his significant other Marla Hupe; his children, Heather McNally (Tim) of Grand Rapids and Brett Denzel (Karen) of Rogers, MN; his stepchildren, Sean Hupe (Diana) of Plano, IL and Davin Hupe of Tucson, AZ; his siblings, Joanne Houghton of Hibbing, MN, Kathy Carlson (Mike) of Grand Rapids, Charles (Gloria) of Eau Claire, WI, Richard (Marsha) of Grand Rapids, Dean (Charlotte) of Grand Rapids, Brian of Grand Rapids and Mark (Laurie) of Blaine, MN; his grandchildren, Zachary Ambuehl, Nicole Murillo (Jeammy), Alieya, Jewel, Hannah and Myles Hupe; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Jackson Ratcliff, Sebastian, Gavin Murillo and Jaalen Ambuehl. He is also survived by many friends and family.
