With sadness, we share the passing of Gary J. Houle of Stacy, Minnesota. Gary, born on April 25, 1944 in Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Houle and Joan Houle. He is survived by: his wife Julie Houle (Wightman); his children, Robert (Iris), Natalie (Debbie), Angela (Travis), Terry (Carrie), Gabriel, Erick, Finn, Lillian, Henri and Aidan; his siblings, Jim Houle (Sherri), Jeff Houle (Cindy), Greg Houle (Debbie) and Mary (Lyle); Alexander. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattson Funeral Home & Cremation Service (343 N Shore Dr, Forest Lake, MN 55025). A Mass was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of St. Peter (1250 S Shore Dr, Forest Lake, MN 55025).
