He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Carpenter and Una Carpenter of Staples; and his siblings, Alva Kettlehut and Mervin Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Karen Webster of Philbrook; his children, Garry Carpenter II (Debbie) of Staples and Jennifer Stickler (Tim) of Rogers; his grandchildren, Lacey (Chris), Nathan, Samantha and Elizabeth; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Danielle and David; and his siblings, Roland Carpenter, Margaret Montgomery, Henry Carpenter, Jerald Carpenter, Connie Wells, Barbara Morehouse and Shelly Carpenter. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, whom he loved like siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Motley Free Methodist Church (33 Wellwood St, Motley, MN 56466). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
