With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Doll (Staples, Minnesota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Plaisted and Myrtle Plaisted. She is survived by: her husband Robert Doll; her daughter Kimberly Ann Gode; her niece Kathy Hoffman; her close friend Rosie (During); her siblings, Pat (Albert), Marcia Gerling, Albert Plaisted and Vivian Johnson; her great grandchildren, Ethan Schultz and Baby Doll; her children, David Doll (Dawn Brown) and Debra Yoder (Doyle); and her siblings, Winnie Henrickson and Allen Plaisted. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She taught us it's never too late to meet a new best friend when she found Rosie!During Joan's last year she fought many illnesses; Covid, kidney failure, blood disorder, a heart condition, and glaucoma.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Staples Food Shelf in Joan's memory, where she enjoyed volunteering at.
