It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael David Daedlow (Staples, Minnesota), born in Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on March 26, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Betty Jean Daedlow (Sweney) and Gordon Daedlow. He is survived by : his siblings, Eloise Blattner (John), Chris Daedlow (Jodi) and Nick Daedlow (Chrissie); his former life partner Becky Baelitz; his children, Jason Daedlow (Lacey) and Amy Lenz (Doug); his stepchildren, Dana Estling and Karina Estling Kobliska (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Haley Daedlow, Brecken, Bryson Welsh, Eric, Austin Lenz, Jayce and Jorja Kobliska.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Diamond Willow Memory Care Unit of Little Falls, Minnesota, the Alzheimer's Association or the Salvation Army. Per Mike's wishes, his body was donated to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program for medical education.

“Annie, Jason, Aimee, Eloise, Chris, Nick and family... All of my fond memories of my time in Baudette, Mike is in every one of them. He was a trusted friend, faithful co-worker, partner in crime, someone I could console in and someone to give me a kick in the butt when I needed it I am very sad to know he wasn't able to revel in these memories near the end of his life, because they're what keep me going some days and I can't imagine what they would be like if he were not in them. God speed.”
