It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Randy Smith (Staples, Minnesota), who passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Bernadette Wartner and Hubert Wartner; his brother-in-law Michael Grittner; his aunts and uncles, Lil, Bob Richner, Jeanne Brown, Bob Rollins, Dwayne Dukowitz, George Webster, Bill, Kaye Vukelich and Danny Vukelich; his cousins, Brenda, Janelle, Linda and Duff; and his close friend Tom Baumgartner.
He is survived by: his parents, Jack Smith and Dixie Smith; his wife Linda Smith; his children, Rachael Smith, Codi Wilson (Kory) and Zachary Smith; his grandchildren, Evah, Nyah, Sophia, Elmer Noska, Jayden, Jayce, Logan, Lacelynn Wilson and Evritt Smith; and his sisters, Debbie Myers (Ken), Dusti Nordell (Tom Daly) and Roddy Smith (Lori). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
