Stella Fonteyn Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stella Fonteyn of Staples, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Robben and Augusta Robben; her children, Jeff, Mary Jo and Mary Kay Fonteyn; and her brothers, Raymond Robben and Richard Robben (Stella).
She is survived by: her husband David Fonteyn; her children, Kelly Lingbeek, Brenda Borash (Jason), Jennifer Vavra (John) and Jamie Fonteyn (Christina); her grandchildren, Kaitlin Olsen (Zach), Andrew Borash (Anastasia), Breanna Hess (Sam), Brockten Vavra, Brodie Vavra, Addison, Jocelyn and Jaidyn Fonteyn; her great grandchild Elizabeth Hess; her sister Rita Stracek (Gary); and her sister-in-law Gloria Robben. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 6:45 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Taylor Funeral & Cremation Care (102 6th St NE, Staples, MN 56479). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Sacred Heart Catholic Church (310 4th St NE, Staples, MN 56479).
