He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nelson and Olga Nelson (Amdahl); and his brother Orland Nelson (MaryEllen). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Nelson of Stewart, MN; his sons, Jim Nelson of Litchfield, MN, Joe Nelson (Jessica) of Lakewood, CO and Mike Hahn (Melly) of Hutchinson, MN; his grandchildren, Angela Robles (Anthony Anderson), Michael Hahn Jr., Jasmine Hahn (Aries Reins), Garrett Nelson (Ali) and Joshua Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Foster, Frankie and Bjorn. He is also survived by Many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery (300 Croyden St, Stewart, MN 55385). A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
